Upon arrival at Ulaanbaatar airport you will be met at the airport and, after hotel check-in, we will take you on a sightseeing tour and invite you to a welcome dinner. (Hotel)

You will fly to Ulgii City in Bayan-Ulgii province of Western Mongolia. The flight mostly takes about 3 hours maximum depending on the weather. At the local airport you will meet our English-speaking guide, driver and cook. Overnight accommodations will be at our Ger Camp, or you will have the choice of staying in a local Hotel (Ger/Hotel//L/D)

Drive to Oigor valley outside Ulgii. We will visit a Kazakh nomadic family on the way. The drive is about 6 hours and overnight accommodations will be in a tent or with Kazakh families. (Ger/Tent//B/L/D)

Hike to the Tavan Bogd Base Camp, approximately five hours. The landscape around the base is breathtaking, accentuated by Mongolia’s longest glaciers and snow-capped mountains. Overnight accommodations will be in our own tents (Tent/B/L/D)

Climbing Malchin Peak After breakfast we will walk for about an hour and then start climbing Malchin Peak (4050 m) on the Mongolian side of the Russian border. Malchin Peak is the lowest of the Holy Five Peaks (Tavan Bogd). It takes 6 to 7 hours to climb to the top. Most of the climb will be on rocks. Return to camp to relax. (Tent/B/L/D)

Return to the White River Valley Hiking back to our camp in the Tsagaan Gol Valley. In the evening, we will have the opportunity to visit Tuvian families and share their culture and lifestyle. (Tent/B/L/D)

Return to Ulgii We will say goodbye to our Tuvan friends and take the 7 hour drive back to Ulgii. On the way we will visit Kazakh Eagle Hunters. Alternatively you can spend the night in the hotel. (Hotel/B/L/D)

On these two days we will attend the Golden Eagle Festival. Festivities begin with the hunters’ parade, during which they display their hunting outfits, accessories and traditional dress. Includes competition between hunters with their eagles, demonstrating the special relationship between the trainer and his bird. Watch first-hand as the hunters pamper their birds and call them during the competitions. Overnight accommodations will be at the Ger Camp or hotel. (Hotel/Ger/B/L/D).

In the morning we will take the return flight to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival you will be transported to your hotel. Afternoon free for shopping (Hotel/B/L/D)
